Sashiko Jacket 1st 5

Sashiko Jacket 1st | Description of Sashiko Jackets

We have a few Sashiko Jackets that Keiko is happy to release in the market. Since Keiko and her company (Sashi.Co & Keiko Futatsuya) spent so much time and effort, they aren’t cheap as clothes. However, I hope someone would be able to wear them as the daily jackets because these all handmade Sashiko Jackets can represent the Sashiko culture and concept by being used in the daily life.

Here is the Sashiko Jacket 1st Description

    1. Dear Julie,
Thank you for the comment. Yes. Each Jacket has a story, and it tells by itself. I will share the stories as well. Thank you!

  1. These jackets are so beautiful.
I am doing a stitching course myself and I would welcome any suggestions as to how I could make something like this . I would like to do this as a piece of coursework ( obviously as a beginner it will be nothing like this.
Maybe it is too ambitious as i do not even know where to start with finding a pattern.
what i would like to say though is that it is wonderful to see such beauty and I thank you for inspiring me this morning.

your work is so beautiful and I will be delighted even if I just have a little stitching round the neck or cuff of a project. Thank you

    1. Hi Judith,

I receive your contact as well. Thank you for reaching out to us.
For Sashiko, this website and Youtube (Sashi.Co) will give you a glimpse of what we do. I have a friend (not met yet) who made a wonderful piece by just reading the articles here and watching our video. It is just continuing the stitching. For the jacket itself, traditionally, Japanese tailoring does not use the pattern so we don’t have the pattern to provide to. It is another field to master besides Sashiko.

Thank you for finding us. Please help us to spread this beautiful culture to the world 😀

      Best Regards,
      Atsushi
